Panama and Panamanian Writers have been honored at Spanish-American Flower Games

The Standing Commission of the Spanish-American Flooring Games held at the Municipality of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala's 84 version dedicated its literary contest this year to Panama and its writers.
At this meeting the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) supported the illustrious literary Justo Arroyo as a representative of Panama in this activity dedicated to Panamanian letters.
During the prize and crowned evening of the Spanish-American Solar Games contest, it was up to the writer Arroyo to receive his recognition scroll, which his organizers gave to Panama and his Nobel writers.
Founded in 1916, this literary event recognizes the talent of Spanish-speaking writers in the categories of poetry, novel and tale, with the winners for this version Carlos Ancheta from El Salvador, Rudy Mérida from Guatemala and Pedro Aguilera from Honduras.
A tribute was paid to 15 Panamanian writers for their contributions to Spanish-American literature and they have jointly earned 25 awards, including Carlos Alfredo Pérez Herrera, Guillermo Beleño Cedeño, Justo Arroyo, Nidia Arce de Berthel, José de Jesús Martínez, José Ávila Castillo, Agustín Exequiel del Rosario García, Eduardo Ritter AIslen, Desiderio Alberto Duarte Reyes, Raúl Alberto Leis, Jarl Ricardo Babot, Beatriz Cecilia Valdés, Rosa María Britton, Enrique Jaramillo Levi and Javier Alvarado.
Recognized writers as Margarita Vásquez Quiroz, a member of the Panamanian Academy of Lingua and writer Damis Serrano, winner of several Ricardo Miró awards participated with master's lectures about the different periods of Panamanian literature.
Hugo Hebert Giraud, Panama's ambassador to Guatemala and as his representative, participated in the different literary activities dedicated to Panama and Panamanian letters.
