The fun work "El Alma Buena de Se-Chuan" performed by the cast "El Desvan" composed of students from different faculties at the Universidad Santa María La Antigua (USMA) served to declare an opening of the National Theater Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture.
The Minister of Culture Giselle González Villarrué, a graduate from the University of Communications Sciences of the USMA, emphasized the importance of theater in discipline and "contributes to an integral formation" of the individual.
González Villarrué was accompanied by the national director of Las Artes, Isabel Burgos, and she also graduated from the USMA and both received a certificate of recognition for his contributions to national culture from the officials of the USMA led by rector Francisco Blanco.
The work was presented at the auditorium Tomas A. Clavel of the USMA under the direction of Professor Félix Gomez.
The National Theater Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture will be held throughout September and will include a presentation of works, workshops and contigues at different stage events.
