MiCultura presents Render from the National Folklore Center

Following the commitment of Action Plan N ° 97 to build the National Folklore Centre in the province of Los Santos, the National Government through the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) introduced the Cultural and Sport Centre at the auditory gym of the town of Las Tablas, a place dedicated to the construction of the project.
Leaders, promoters, cultural managers, members of the community, local authorities that work closely with the sports and cultural area of the district, participated in this meeting with a view to contributing ideas and collecting more information for the start up of the work.
Carlos Him, Director of Infrastructure at the Ministry of Culture introduced the architecture model of the project that will have a duration of 10 months of construction and will consist of its initial phase of three phases: Study and design, development of plans and construction.
The architecture that will be refurbished and improved will have two floors and will include, a lobby, bolletries, toilets, graderies, court, gym, living rooms, dressing rooms, event area, meeting rooms, workshop rooms, gallery and living room for exhibitions.
Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture, participated in this meeting and emphasized the importance of the project as a commitment to the recognition, promotion and conservation of Folkloric Intangible Heritage as an enabling agent for communities in the region of Azuero.
"That space has been for 24 years an epicentre place of collective cultural activities of the region of Tomeña, in that place have been performed from educational activities, reigns, conviviums and cultural competitions where the community of the region reunited," added González Villarrué
The project will provide the community with appropriate spaces for cultural and sports activities, workshops, congresses, contest, galas, concerts, musicals, play, practice, teaching, exhibitions, meetings, sales, reading and research.
The Centre is estimated to be complete and delivered by the end of 2023 and will have a capacity for 800 people.
