BUDGET FOR CULTURE AFFAIRS IN SUPPORT TO THE RECOVERY OF THE HISTORY FAMILY

The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, supported to the National Assembly's Budget Commission the amount allocated to the institution for fiscal validity 2023 for a total of 52.2 million dollars, of which 205 million dollars are for operation and 32.7 million dollars for investment.
The incumbent of Culture explained to the Commissioners that the budget of the Ministry aims to conduct several projects throughout the Territory such as the conversion of the Building of the Abel Bravo College of Colón the Omar Anel Rodriguez Cultural Centre in Aguadulce, the Cultural Center, Stelina Tebeira in Penonomé, the National Folklore Center at Las Tables and the Cultural Centre at Changuinola, among others.
He also referred to other projects for this year, such as the completion and equipment of the City of The Arts, efforts to rehabilitate the sites of Portobelo and San Lorenzo with a view to recovering the heritage wealth of the country and contributing directly to the economic reactivation of the communities where they are and the reopening of the Reina Torres de Araúz Anthropological Museum.
He also referred, among other issues, to the Orquestas Network's intention to extend to every corner of the country and integrate about ten thousand youth.
