FUNCTIONS WALK IN MANUEL F. ZÁRATE AND DORA P. DE ZÁRATE

Two sons from the province of Colón, Nolis Boris Góndola Solís and Eduardo Antonio Hansell Chifundo were the winners of the Order Manuel F Zárate and the Dora Pérez de Zárate prize, respectively.
At an event filled with emotional and with the folkloric ingredient of the Royal Occupy Manites, "at this" World Folklore Day "an enabling date to announce to the winners, who will be officially awarded at the historic stand of the mejorana National Festival to be held September 24 at Guararé, Province of Los Santos.
The Dora Pérez de Zárate Award aims to recognize those people who have been contributing with the study of Panamanian folklore by performing, documenting and research that will help to continue with the zaratista vision.
The incumbent of MiCultura, Giselle González Villarrué, referring to this award, said that "I have been proud to have called them to this house of culture of Panama, to announce - for the first time in the history of this award - the creditors of the Dora Pérez de Zátiate Award and the Orden Manuel F. Zátiate Award as part of the" World Folklore Day. "
He added that it's a date of special commemoration for "all we have believed in culture as an engine of societies and a vehicle of development of communities, their people and their lives."
While the winners of the contest, Hansell Chifundo and Gódola Solís did not hide the emotion of being chosen as the winners, noting that they have dedicated a life to research and promotion of the different folklore expressions of the national and international countries.
For the Dora Pérez de Zárate Award, and for the winner, the leading Folklorists: Alipio Abdiel Puga Ortiz, Francisco Mutis Romero, Wynanda Tribaldos and Francisco Paz de La Rosa, while for the Manuel F. Zárate Decoration they also participated, and Daysi Enilda De León Juárez, José Armando Corella Rovira, Alipio Abdiel Puga Ortiz and Efraín Gutiérrez.
The interdisciplinary board of jurors was composed of researchers, sociologists, folklorists, folklorologists, five professionals from different branches contributing their expertise as Samuel Robles, Priscilla Delgado, Anelio Merry, Margarita Villarreal and David Vergara.
