MiCultura presents art free course results

Some 235 children and youth who participated in free courses organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) have shown what they have been learned in disciplines such as classical ballet, modern dance, folklore, music, painting and drawing.

The course was conducted with a virtual and face-to-face conduct at the MiCultura Metropolitan Cultural Center between April and July and children and youth from different cordments participated in Panama City.

Also, at the closing event, a video was shown of the sweet flute classes that are taught in the province of Coclé, where the teacher, José Moreno, caters for about a hundred children in different communities of the South.

At the closing event, children and youth have shown what they have learned with the performance of pieces such as La Denesa, Jaile congo, La Batea, Diablo Espejo and the classical ballet El Cisne, among others, as well as paintings, works about color theory and piano and guitar performance.

The MiCultura Metropolitan Cultural Centre, located near the seafood market at San Felipe and caters for children, youth and adults from 8: 00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m. and those interested in signing up for the courses can call at 501- 4050 / 4010.

These courses are organized by the Cultural Rights and Citizenship Section of the Ministry of Culture, through the co-ordination of Cultrua Ciudadana, as a way to bring artistic expressions closer to the population.
