Children's and youth voices stand out at the first Coral Reunion

With the great musical show called "La Red Canta," with the participation of the children's and youth's choral modules of Panama Center, Panama West and Colón, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) closed with a golden clasp the year's anniversary of the Panama Youth Orchestra and Chorus Network, an event at the Anita Villalaz Theater.

Paola Cuéllar, co-ordinator of the Coral Programme, emphasized that "this program understands that through collective choral singing we can be part of the training life of children and youth, and that's why we are present in different parts of the country, and that's why we are today at a party, as we know ourselves and we are seen beyond the virtual."

For this first Red Coral Reunion, called "The Canta Network," two concert sessions were held and began on Saturday, July 30, and at the same time in the morning the chorus of the schools Republic of Guatemala, Severino Hernández, José Domingo Espinar, Bilingue el Tecal and Kuna Nega and Altos de los Lagos have been set up, while at the same time the National Shrine and Children Cantors of Panama and once again that of Altos de los Lagos have danced the public with popular songs.

The beautiful and small voices performed Pass the battalion, Plantita de Alelí, Let's paddle, rain droplets, the Floodlight, among other crib and round themes, ending with an ensemble of all chores while singing and dancing the piece The Semaport.

Prior to the second concert, children from Highlands had an opportunity to visit and get to know some interesting spots at Casco Antiguo, as it was their first time at this place, thanks to the guides from Casco Antiguo's office (OCA) at MiCultura.

On Sunday 31, his vocal skills were shown by the youth chorus of Panama's Singer Children, Panama's Pre-Youth Chorus, National Sanctuary Youth Chorus and Panama's Metropolitan Chorus who, among their repertoire of about 18 pieces, sang compositions by Mozart, Conado Monier, Karlene Rentz and more.

The program currently includes about 800 registered children, distributed in modules at Bocas del Toro, Colón, Santiago, Azuero, Chitre, Panama Center, San Miguelito, Panama West and Chorro, where singing and coral activity have been instrumental in strengthening values such as respect, solidarity and teamwork.
