Concert "Music is for me," shows opportunities for great talents

The Special Education program of Panama's Network of Orchestra and Youth Chors introduced this July 26 the concert "Music is for me," a musical proposal where values such as constancy, love and dedication were part of the results shown at the stage of the Balboa Theater and at which about a hundred musicians were found.

Family parents, teachers and special guests enjoyed an emotional show in which it was shown that music did not know about disabilities, did not know differences, because it's a discipline that united hearts, feelings and demonstrated power as a tool for social transformation and improved diagnosis for people with disabilities.

The program of La Red was established in 2020 and currently caters to more than 900 national students from Panama Centro, Panama West, Panama Oriental, Colón, Las Tablas, La Villa and Santiago that are cared for by 17 teachers. 

The program is divided into two phases that are the introductory course in which, through musical stimulation, familiarize students with basic musical terms, recognition of instruments and the second phase is performed when artists are already familiarized with musical stimuli and consist of several chatists such as percussion, violin, bells, oral choir, gestual, hospital and piano chorus.

The program included the presentation of the musicians of each of the leading roles who performed different children's and popular pieces, and highlighted the participation of talented child Ismael Tenorio, who dedicated his letters to his father, his inspiring motor. 

During the concert, testimonies such as that of Jesus, Linda and Guadalupe confirm La Red's commitment to be more than a social project but a program with great contributions to the inclusion of society, offering an opportunity to a population that wants to be Visibilized and regarded as people of benefit to the country.

The great night ended with the participation of the Murga of Panama and a contagious Panamanian Popurri where all the chairas united into a great ensemble showing that there are no differences between the disabilities and that the musical language binds their emotions
