Gloria Barrios, Executive Director of the National Ballet expressed that "our participation in this type of festival is very important as this shows how high we have achieved at the National Ballet of Panama."
The opportunity for Panamanian dancers to participate in this type of international event shows that national talent deserves to be "taken into account to include them in these Galas, as part of the dissemination of the image of our culture and the level of artistic representation we have achieved in these fifty years," Barrios added.
Gaona and Castro are young graduates from the National School of Dance that have worked to develop their artistic and technical potential that have brought them to their place today within the Ballet.
