MiCultura promotes artistic sample to sensitise about visual disability

"Tocando aprenzo," an inclusive art exhibition follows its national tour and currently holds its stop from June 25 to July 9 at the Stella Sierra Museum, in Aguadulce District, Coclé Province.

The architecture of the plastic artist Daniel Cubilla will be open to the public free of charge from Tuesday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and where the public can pat pieces in different textures with high relief and with legends in the Braille system, and they get beyond the barrier of their senses so that people with visual disabilities can enjoy their art.

In this initiative, organized by the Office for Equal Opportunities of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), there can be no discrimination whatsoever and it develops with the aim that people with low vision or blind people can enjoy pictorial works such as "My heart in flames," "Proceres," "Breaking the chains," "Vaccines," "Angel of the Sea" among other titles focused on religion, feelings and objects.

Those who visit the exhibition will have an opportunity, if they so wish to accept their blindfold so that they can pat with their touch the pieces of art and feel that empathy with people with disabilities so as to be a complete artistic experience for assistants.

The tour of this travelling sample began in the San Miguelito District and has been passing through Chepo, Colón, Penonomé Aguadulce and will then be at Herrera.
