Children of Darién Know Casco Antiguo History

About 530 children from Darién and the Emberan region have learned about the monuments and history of the Casco Antiguo of Panama City with the program tour "The Casco AntiguoQ visits you" promoted by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the office of the Casco Antiguo (OCA).
On this occasion with the support of the National Border Service (SENAFRONT), OCA's personnel moved to communities such as La Palma, Setegantí, Chepigana, Lajas Blanas, El Salto, Santa Librada, El Porvenir, Kanglozo, Nuevo Bijao, Santa Fe and San Cristóbal, where they explain to children and adolescents with images of historic monuments, churches and other iconic locations the importance and historic of each of these locations.
That's the second stop from the project "The Casco Antiguo Visits you" that, at its first activity of reactivation after the pandemic, visited the community of The Upstairs in the town of Capira, where about 60 children were cared for.
That's the first time this program has reached Darién and forms part of a co-operation agreement between MiCultura and Senface with the aim of bringing different cultural activities to children and youth from this province and from the Emberan region that, as they are areas with difficult access, do not have the resources to enjoy different artistic events at their free time.
