The Network successfully culminates its music camp

Some 160 children from different parts of the country who belong to Panama's Network of Orchestra and Youth Chors participated in workshops to improve their knowledge of the performance of classical music instruments, which were dictated by youth from the Young National Orchestra of Spain (JONDE).

For a week, coinciding with the period of recess, the musicians entered a camp in Chitre, Province of Herrera as part of the training phase that La Red offers to its members and they seek them to rise their level of performance.

That teacher exchange was part of an agreement with IBERORQUESTS with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura).

Ignacio Cano, a Spanish teacher elected to teach the young Panamanian, emphasized his complacency with bringing this little granite of sand with the boys who have greatly surprised us with their attitude and enthusiasm, are ready to rehearse as long as necessary and always with a smile.

For his part Artemisia Olave, from the province of Chiriquí and violinist of La Red, has an experience of six years within the group, who share us that enjoys the music, that's what she best likes to do, considers it a way of life and aspires to play at some point in a great orchestra outside of the country.

The camp and class with Spanish teachers adds that "it's a very beautiful experience, because you learn new things at the same time as you make new friends and you know other people who like to do what she likes to do."

The Network will be an anniversary in July and they are currently preparing a number of concerts that will be held at different points of the country, with a presence of the modules of this grouping.
