Natah celebrates its fifth centennial at great

On the occasion of the celebration of the 500-year Founding of the town of Natá de Los Knights, the second oldest town on the peaceful American coast, the vice ministers of culture, Gabriel González was the champion of the traditional folk parade that went through the main avenues with which locals commemorated this important event.

The anniversary activities began on May 20, with a mass held at the Church of Santiago Apostol, followed by the protocolary acts related to this important and historic date, visit to the newly opened museum, among other activities that are part of the traditions and customs of the natariego people.

At the Folkloric parade was noted how the locals deployed their cultural, material and immaterial heritage through their dances, costumes, gastronomy and music, complemented with a great story at the recent opening of the San Juan de Dios Chapel Museum.

Throughout these 500 years, the illustrious town of Natah de los Knights has been given different names as "The barn of the kingdom," "The American Pompaya," "The colonial jewel," A very noble and loyal town of Natah de los Knights and recently the capital of culture.
