MiCultura with the "Casco Visits you" arrives at Captain

With educational and cultural activities, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the office of the Casco Antiguo (OCA) conducted a tour called "El Casco Visits Te" at the community of Olas Arriba in the area of Capira, with a view to bringing knowledge and fun to 50 children and youth from the community about the attractions of the historic centre of Panama City.

Julissa Espinosa Coordinator of Social and Cultural Programs of the OCA told us "we bring cultural and heritage values of the Casco Antiguo to the most vulnerable communities of the country, so that they get to know San Felipe and learn about their history and pride them as to all we know them and that they have the words" The Casco Antiguo also belong to them. The visit includes three parts with educational talks about monuments and points of interest at the historic centre and a painting workshop, where they recreate the Casco Antiguo and draw the monument or building that best liked or called his attention and we close with old-age games that are a great recreational tool.

The program will soon be replicated in other cordments of the Capitra District and also reach the provinces of Darién and Colón.
