Orchestra Network Expands its outreach to Eastern Panama

The members of the Panel of the Network of Orchestra and Youth Cores of Panama East received tools of string to strengthen the program of the Network of Youth Orquetes and Cores of the Ministry of Culture during a Community Work Tour of the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo and the Minister, Giselle González Villarrué.

The tools will be used by the children and youth that have been members of the orchestral module of Eastern Panama and have been established for 3 months at the La Siesta Sports Complex at the Tocumen Reg.
"We are happy that we have entered these communities, attending more than 200, with the teaching to play different instruments of string, and have reached more than 4 thousand members at national level," emphasized Minister González Villarrué.

The goal of MiCultura is to impact and improve the quality of life of children and youth throughout the country through music, which is one of the main aims of the National Network of Orchestra and Youth Chores of Panama that arrives to Panama East to contribute to the formation of an orchestral module, stated González Villarrué.

He added that in three months MiCultura has expanded the program from four to seven modules at national level, reaching 4 thousand members but with the goal of reaching 15 thousand at the end of the year. 

Also, artisan credits have been awarded that offer different benefits to artisan as a reduction of the cost to buy materials and be subject to credit for their businesses.
