With the decline of verses from well-known Panamanian authors and the exhibition: "Legado de las Mujeres indígenas" by the photographer at the Ministry of Culture, Lois Iglesias developed the XIII edition of the International Poesy Festival "Penonomé in April" at the Centre for Innovation, Technology Development and Entrepreneurship at the Regional University Centre of Coclé at Penonomé.
The Deputy Minister, Gabriel González and Secretary General José Ismael Herrera representing MiCultura have been awarded a certificate of recognition to the Ministry of Culture for his contribution to the cultural development of his capital.
The Poetry Festival included a day of storytelling, book presentations, and a presentation of recognition, workshops, and a recital of penonomeña poetry, and a concert by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Panama.
The photo exhibition had been composed of eight cadres that highlighted the work of indigenous women in Panama and that also reflected the wisdom, cosmovision and spirituality of women especially of their Guna people.
