Recognized as the Director of the National Symphony Orchestra

As part of the celebration of Holy Week, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the Archdiocese of Panama held a sacra music concert at the Basilica Cathedral of Santa María La Antigua this Thursday and was performed by the National Symphony Orchestra.

To the program of the evening were added the well-known Panamanian artists, Fernando Bustos and Susan Samudo, contrator and soprano respectively who with their voices honor the repertoire that included pieces by the Italian composer Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, as "Al Santo Sepolcro," "Nulla in Mundo Pax Sinzo," "Filiae Maesaceae Jerusalem" and "Stabat Mater," and they were vetted by the attendees.

Prior to the event, the Archbishop of Panama, José Domingo Ulloa awarded the Santa María La Antigua Medal to Jorge Ledezma Bradley, director of the National Symphony Orchestra, for his path and support for his pastoral activities as well as his contributions to the country in the cultural sphere.

The year's program of this 81st year old musical institution includes educational concerts, with public and private schools with an opportunity to have a repertoire of fragments of well-known and cheerful classical pieces.

Likewise as part of the anniversary of the OSN, they will have free concerts that will have as their stage churches, parks, theatres and airports among others.
