MiCultura inaugurates his stand at David's fair

The Vice Minister of Culture (MiCultura) Gabriel González opened the Artisanal Pavilion where 70 artisan from different parts of the country are presenting his works at the International Fair of St. Joseph of David that began Thursday.

The Ministry of Culture believes that after two years of a pandemic, artisan have an opportunity to offer their products at different fairs, as this means that the economy of the country and that of each of the artisan have been reactivated after passing through the artisan pavilion.

González invited the public to visit each of the artisan samples at this and other fairs to "know how artisan work with the identity of Panama."

Readers to the 65 version of the Feria, which will extend up to March 20, will be able to appreciate in the pavilion artisan works in wood, dresses from indigenous Panamanian ethnic communities such as Ngäbe Bugle, Guna Yala, feminine designs made with fish scales, hammocks, chaquiras, naguas, shoes and consumer crafts as beebee's honey sandwiches and manjares, among others.

Both artisan and Marilyn Chablan from Ngäbe Buglé and master artisan Rolando Mora and Edwin de Boutand were optimistic about once again having an opportunity to sell their products at fair and thanked the Ministry of Culture for an opportunity for a space at no cost.
