Music and child talent merge into My Culture's inclusive programs

One morning with cheerful and childish rhythms was part of the summer closing concert of the programs of Musical Initiation and Special Education of the National Network of Orchestra and Youth Choirs of Panama of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) with the participation of hundreds of children.

The first to appear at the stage were the children of the program of Musical Initiation of the phase of Early Stimulation, composed of children from the age of four who performed several pieces for the children's population segment.

The children at the Paper Orchestra followed and the children learned how to get to know the instruments such as violins, celos and contrabajes, which are the main ones of a symphonic orchestra.

The peculiarity of this group is that the tools they use were prepared by their parents and are built with paper by their parents.

The pre-infantile phase was also able to prove what was learned this summer, performing pieces such as "Allegro," "Stellita," among others where dexterity was observed at the time of performing the instruments.

The central and emotional part of this event was the presentation of the Special Education program, where children, youth and adults with different disabilities demonstrated the power of music to transform disability status into an opportunity to develop talents.

"The Network is a social transformation project through music, and we cannot talk about transformation if we do not include all and all in every place, so this presentation is very important because all together do something great," emphasized Anabel Urbina, coordinator of the Special Education Programme.
