Panamanian dancers will participate with international competition

A total of 27 dancers from different academies and ballet companies will represent Panama in different categories as part of the Miami International Ballet Competition (MCBC) that returns at its fifth edition and will have as its stage the Jarius Littman Theater from North Miami Beach, Florida, United States.

A total of 177 participants from 9 to 24 years of age from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Singapore, Peru, Argentina, the United States and Panama will be held from January 19 to 23.

The dancers will show at this competition their best skills while strengthening friendship and gain new opportunities to continue to develop their talents and / or training.

In this respect, dancers Julieta del Castillo from the National Ballet said "to be proud and excited to be able to represent Panama, with Yahir Castro who will be my partner in this prestigious international contest."

On his choice, his selection was with an audition by the organizers of international competition to dancers from different dance academies where they could see their performing quality and invite them to participate in international competition.

The Panamanian dancers will be on stage performing the Fas de Deux, on Wednesday 19, Friday 21 and Sunday 22 January.

For this year the organizers decided to allow the public to appreciate all competition rounds with an eye to face, including free conduct with biosecurity measures with the aim of maintaining a secure and healthy environment for all contestants and the interested public.

The Panamanian delegation will be composed of dancers from the Academy of Danzas Stepes, Ballet Academy by Maruja Herrera, Conservatorio de Danzas de Panama, ScalaDancers, Studio Coppelia, and Julieta del Castillo del Ballet Nacional de Panama.
