CONACETU: RESPONSE TO IMPROVING THE LABORAL STATUS OF THE INTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Following intensive work sessions that have been held for more than eight months and have been dedicated to the needs of the entertainment, tourism and related industry and with the advice and support of the Ministry of Culture, the National Council for Culture, Entertainment, Tourism and Purpose (CONACETU) has been established.
That council was the result of the need to put together in an organization that recognized all sectors that were grouped by the national government at the so-called Block Six and whose members were affected with the necessary measures to face the spread of the Covenant 19.
To the extent that the government and the Ministry of Health have been applying measures to reduce the cases of the virus, the Ministry of Culture has been leading with MINSA, ATP, MICI and other agencies the process of reopening industry in an organized and consensual manner with those affected.
Following the goal of gradually enabling the activity of this guild, the Ministry of Culture, with a view to using the mechanisms of dialogue and consensus, advanced the creation of CONACETU to guarantee continuity and benefit from that consultation mechanism that allowed for more than a year to have channels of communication between authorities and industry actors and at the same time established an agreement of cooperation with the new guild to assist them with the process of strengthening and growing the new guild.
Thus, the Council was born with a vision of designing and promoting programs to promote the development of the culture, entertainment, tourism and creative industry by strengthening affiliated trade unions, associations and trade unions at national level.
CONACETU is expected to enjoy national recognition by 2024 on the basis of its programmes and projects aimed at strengthening industry and strengthening the union between different associations, trade unions and trade unions dedicated to these activities.
CONACETU will promote among its partners values such as education, liberty, family, adaptation to change, organization, proactivity, discipline and results.
The new body will first be composed of 17 organisations with 67 registered trade unions and trade unions representing 3658 micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises.
The guild will have a Board of Directors that will be charged with defining medium and long term strategies by selecting an appropriate mix of projects for the proper selection of planning tools, align executive strategies with projects, manage the project portfolio correctly and improve project results that are aligned with strategic objectives.
The agreement was signed between Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro and the National Council of Culture, Entertainment, Tourism and Purpose, Monserrat Miró.
