Colonians participate in information session about restoration of the Abel Bravo College

Together with the company "Atlantic projects," charged with the project of restoration of the old establishments of the Abel Bravo College, the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro held an information session so that representatives of associations, organisations and members of civil society knew about the details and scope of the project of which will be the Center of Art, Culture and Creative Industries of Colón.

In its activity at the Regional University Centre of Colón, the audience had an opportunity to raise a number of concerns including the establishment of a museum, spaces for the sale of crafts, for entrepreneurs and writers. Besides an art gallery, halls for music and audiovisual production, among others.

Prior to his period of citizen participation, Juan Antonio Belden, a legal representative of his project, told them about his stage of performance and his benefits for the benefit of his community and with reference to his four areas, where his first office will have an auditorium with a capacity for 310 people and will have his or her rooms, bathroom and dressing rooms for his or her artists, among others.
A pavilion will have three areas, where Part A will have the administrative office of the cultural centre and of different artistic schools, room for multiple use, nursing, teacher rooms, while in Part B, we will find the halls and workshops of the schools of music, dance, theater and plastic arts, while at Part C the school of gastronomy, among others.
The refurbishment of the chapel, library and sports areas, parking and old workshops can be seen in areas 5, 6 and 7. It should be noted that for all areas they will have accessibility for people with disabilities.
During the period of questions and answers, Aguilar Navarro responded to the consultations of representatives of the organizations that have come together and emphasized the value of the project for Colón, where residents will have an opportunity to elevate and display all the artistic expressions of the province, showing the potential of their entrepreneurs and artisan, the creativity of their artists and especially to increase and promote the development of art in new generations.
He also reiterated that this will not be the first session, and that other sessions will come, so as to get colonians to know the benefits of the project called "Studies, design, restoration, adequacy, construction of new areas, equipment and furniture of the old Abel Bravo school, to house the art and culture centre of Colón" and to have them participate in the restoration process of this architecture that is historic monument.
