MiCultura sets up financial support for CIHAC AIP programs

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) signed an economic subsidy agreement with the Centre for Historical, Anthropological and Cultural Research of Panama (CIHAC AIP) to support them with their plans and programs as well as with their objectives for public policy formulation in their area of influence.

That subsidy amounting to a sum of B / 300 000 will be used by CIHAC-AIP for costs of equipment and operation, spreadsheet, work benefits, minor cash and research development, with more than 50% of the subsidy being charged.

The Convention lays down that the funds transferred can only be used under the terms referred to and that their use will be monitored by the Comptroller General of the Republic.

To be more strict and transparent with regard to the management of these funds, CIHAC-AIP should report at the end of each semester about its intended and outstanding expenses.

The subsidy agreement reached between MiCultura and CIHAC-AIP has a duration of 12 months after its endorsement by the Comptroller General of the Republic.

The convention was signed by the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of CIHAC-AIP, Osiris Sanjur in the presence of Marixa Lasso, Director of CIHAC-AIP and other members of the Board of Directors.
