MiCultura FOMENTAL ECONOMIC REACTIVATION BETWEEN ARTESANOS

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), as part of the National Government's plans for the economic recovery of artisans, organized the fourth Archeological Festival at the Archaeological Site of Old Panama.

In partnership with the Ornament of the archaeological site, the participating artisan offered products such as jewelry, paints, textiles, wood crafts, knitted and dressed with folkloric elements of different ethnicity as well as examples of native cuisine from Panama.

In addition to the crafts, the attendees enjoyed the presentation of the Folkloric Projections of the Mayor's office of Arraijan, Danzas, Ritmos and Traditions of Delfín Hernández, and the Mosaic Children's Association of My Earth, and Folkloric Projections of My Panama and Folkloric Projections I I'm Panama.

The children enjoyed a fun puppet workshop called "Building a character through an inanimate object" by Roy Williams, playwright and an actor who participates at the seventh MiCultura Theater Festival that ends next October 1.

They were part of the story and colorful the logo of the bicentennial as part of the celebration of Panama's 200-year independence from Spain.

Jaime Luna, national master of crafts at MiCultura emphasized that more and more artisan people have entered the artisan accreditation program and "this has been achieved because of the institutional work of each of the regional departments where the artisan have been interested to sign up, train and improve their products by participating from the different artisan paths that are performed in the country."

Other entities, such as the Micro and Small and Medium Enterprise Authority (AMSMEs) and the Panama Urban and Domiciliary Aseo Authority (AAUD) and the National Institute for Women (INAMU), were also present at the festival with a sample of the articles that have been prepared at the workshops they issue.

The Festival of Crafts takes place once a month with an agreement with the old Panama patronato where national and foreign visitors enjoy all the attractions, not only about the journey through the ruins and the museum but also about consumer products and crafts and artistic performances that make this event an opportunity to enjoy with family and friends
