"ANCESTRAL MASSMENTS" A MOVE FUSE and CULTURAL HERENCE

Since fashion is an integral and productive element of the dynamics of the creative economy, especially of the design sector, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and Physical Models International INC., signed a Cultural Cooperation Convention for the conduct of the gateway called "Ancestral Teachers" as an inaugural event at the Panama Fashion Week platform.

It is hoped that "Ancient Teachers" will be a point of convergence and synergy for best national and artisan designers from each of the seven groups from Panama whose high-value content will lead to a national fashion proposal with an international projection that will in turn strengthen national identity and inclusion.

The proposal aims at interested parties about the catwalk, fashion and production of pieces of clothing and information about the history of the native peoples and also to merge the artistic and cultural expressions of Panama.

"We are filled with joy, that this convention could have been put into effect because we hope and hope that with the economic recovery of which the creative and cultural industries are a fundamental part, we can have an agreement and be able to give them more support than we have been giving them this year," said Cultural Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro.

The Minister added "that, in the process of democratization of access to culture, this initiative is significant because it's a high-sewer work with those who keep our peoples' traditions and cultural heritage alive. It's part of that interaction we seek and we know that this fusion will make Fashion Weekly Panama a regional reference."
 
Marie Claire Fontaine Velasco de Bueno representative of Physical Models International INC., emphasized that "Ancient Teachers" have been working from the National Handicraft Management "through which we are with a great deal of expectation of the final result, in which many people have worked among them outstanding the seven designers in collaboration with master craftsmen from each of Panama's indigenous peoples."

With this product we "want to capture the attention of international means to design with threads, fabric, fiber, at every ensart of necklaces.

That is to say, this is only the spear point of a project that will give a great deal about what to talk about at national and international level, "Velasco De Bueno said.

Jair Batista, fashion designer and designer of the brand "JB by Jahir Batista" who worked with the old teacher Buglé, Yhanisell Chavez explained that this project is very interesting and enriching, because throughout time culture and crafts have earned a value that we sometimes do not appreciate as our designs are filled with history, customs and mainly to differentiate Ngäbe from the Buglé crafts that are always confused.

Meanwhile, Rula Lakas designer of the Molakspty line, received the knowledge for his collection of the Guna's ancestral teacher, Dielys Erhman.

Lakas claims that to learn about the history of the production of the characteristic accessory of Guna's clothing at its beginning had only the black and white colors with geometric figures and used to awaken bad and bad eye among others.

The event will be held from September 21 to 27 at "La Apple" at St. Anne's 15th Street, in Panama City, starting at 3: 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. and attendees will be able to enjoy, as well as local cuisine, local flavors, art and fashion, for which the MiCultura will assist with a contribution of 5,000 pat.
