With the work "Héctor Gallegos: The great master" began Teatro Festival

With his presentation of his work "Héctor Gallejo, el Gran Maestro," written by Daniel Gómez Nates and directed by Félix Gomez began this Monday at the auditorium Tomas Clavel at Universidad Santa María La Antigua, the National Theater Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture.

The festival will run up to October 1 and will have simultaneous performances at La Estado, La Huaca and the Anita Villalaz as part of an operational plan of MiCultura to promote the arts as a whole.

The vice-ministers of culture (MiCultura), Gabriel González at the opening of the Festival noted that attendees will be able to appreciate an extraordinary variety of works and workshops, put on stage by artists, writers, producers, directors, actors and actresses, stage recorders, dressmakers and other professionals who have advanced the Panamanian theater.

He added that the festival aims at encouraging the growth and development of artistic activity and at promoting national and international outreach of theatrical creations, while at the same time contributing to the growth of our cultural heritage.

That year the institution, through the national leadership of Las Artes, organized three festivals and two meetings within the framework of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Panama of Spain.

The first was in July with the Conference Music Festival, where approximately 6,300 viewers attended and the meeting of Dance, held in August with a call for 3,200 people and now from Monday 13th September to October 1, the Theater Festival.

Simultaneously at Teatro la Estado was performed the comedy play "El Sepelio" by Wong Sagel.
