MiCultura FULL with PANAMA FABER

Funds intended to contribute to the maintenance of the Monumental ensemble of Old Panama was given by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) to the Board that manages this historic site.

These funds, by law, are given annually to the Board of Trustees with the responsibility to maintain and preserve in good condition this valuable cultural heritage of the colonial period, and were given by the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro to the President of the Board of Trustees, Raúl Méndez.

The incumbent of MiCultura Aguilar Navarro emphasized his work and his work had been transformed and preserved as a good place and was greatly visited by nationals and foreigners.

Meanwhile, Raúl Méndez, president of Panama Viejo's sponsorship stated that the funds received will be used in maintenance, administrative management and care for the needs of the historic whole "that's a responsibility with the nation."

The Minister was accompanied by Carlos Aguilar Navarro, national Finance Director, Flor de Lotto Concepción, Director of Legal Advice, María Luisa Lindo, Director of Cultural Heritage, Linette Montenegro and also with the Executive Director of the Old Panama Board, Julieta Arango.
