MiCultura will support project, "Penonomé me enamors"

A framework convention for Cultural cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the Municipality of Penonomé with the aim of bringing together efforts to promote all related to the cultural and integral development of the citizens of the Penonomé Corregiment, District of Penonomé, Province of Coclé.

The aims of the convention are to undertake actions that will have as their aim the promotion and promotion of anything related to the Penonomanian crafts as well as the development, implementation and implementation of activities, plans, programs, projects, complementary tasks and specific activities, of an artistic, cultural, educational, historic, artisan and tourist nature, in the District of Penonomé.

The signing of this agreement between Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Minister of Culture and Paula María González F., mayor of the Penonomé District, specifically looks at the development as a tourist and cultural product of clay plates, the wicker baskets, the carving of soap and wood stones, reminders of the beamed palm, pumpkin totuman painting, handmade products, the pint hat, and other elements characteristic of the region.

"That firm represents an opportunity for Penonomé to promote and train and for all that has to do with our customs and with our history and how we have built and preserve them. I have been pleased with the guidance they have given us from this ministry with the unconditional support that have helped us to strengthen our initiatives," said Paula González.

The Mayor expressed her gratitude with this partnership and stated that "this is the beginning of our first formal event of our project" Penonomé me enamora, "this link with MiCultura will strengthen the initiative to promote the cultural elements of our district as well as its tourist characteristics as rivers and trails."

The interest of our administration is to put together mechanisms that will help us to have local authorities interested in his community's cultural issue as a mechanism for economic recovery and through this type of convention we strengthen them, added the head of Panamanian culture.
