MiCultura, was headquarters of first gradation of Sordo Mentor Specialisation

A total of 9 professionals from the Panamanian Institute of Special Habilitation (IPHE) have successfully completed the course of Specializing roles of the Sordo Mentor, which has been revamped virtual, organized by the Office of Educational Advice and Coordination of Educational Projects for the Sorda Community.

as part of goal sustainable development 17, Partnership to achieve work goals, as a whole MiCultura-IPHE.

At his graduation event, MiCultura's deputy ministers, Gabriel González, a deaf person, expressed his high value to this community and added that he was proud to "see these graduates and that, from now on, your jobs are to be with the deaf from babies, to guide them and to contribute with their training."

The graduates are Luilly Segundo, who earned first place, as well as Javier Ortega, Eds De Obaldía, María Quintero and Yarizbel Ramirez and Blanca Jaramillo and Jesús García and Nadia Miranda and Aileen González, all of them professionals at the Panamanian Institute of Special Habilitation (IHE).

Aysha Castillero, Educational Advisor and Project Coordinator of the communities of IHE stated that the figure of "Mentor Sordo," as part of the interdisciplinary team will care for deaf children from 0 to 3 years old.

The training lasted for a period of two months, with issues that have been put into practice and advanced approaches to the comprehensive development of deaf children, and was given by 17 national and foreign specialist trainers.
