Redeclare poet Rubén Darius Procer of Central American Independence

The Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) declared at a session through Zoom the Nicaraguan poet Rubén Darius as a procer of Central American independence in commemoration of the bicentennial of this separatist event.

According to a statement issued by the Secretariat of the Board of Directors of PARLACEN, the declaration represents an recognition of the work of the distinguished poet for the union of the region.

The document by PARLACEN that poet Rubén Darius dedicated his best journalistic, poetic and political efforts for the political unity of Central America, with his work as Director of the daily La Unión and his poem "Canto a la Unión Centroamericano," emphasized.

Following this resolution that highlight the integrationist and as best exponent efforts of modernism of the Spanish language, PARLACEN urges to place at its headquarters and after, a portrait of Rubén Darius with the following inscription: "Rubén Darius, procer of Central American Integration, and Prince of the Castellanas Letters."
