Winner of Ricardo Miró 2019 get first edition of his works

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the National Direction of The Arts and the Department of Letters gave to writers Pedro Crens Castro, Danae Brugiati, Arturo Wong Sagel, Jhavier Romero Hernández and Edduin González, winners of the 2019 Ricardo Miró National Literature Competition, the first copies of his awarded works.
According to the established bases for this contest, the highest prize for excellence in Panamanian letters, each of the authors received 100 copies printed with the collaboration of the National Publications Office through the Mariano Arosemena Editorial.
Daniel Domínguez, national director of The Arts of MiCultura, expressed his satisfaction with concluding his commitment with these great writers but that because of the status of COVID19, coupled with the regulations imposed by the health authorities, we have met this morning to fulfill them and contribute with Panamanian literature.
For his part, the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, reported that progress has been made with regard to the bases and resolutions and the bases for the 2021 version of the national competitions held by the Panamanian cultural entity.
Aguilar Navarro mentioned that the idea is to announce as soon as possible the calls so that established and new writers have more time to prepare their works, which we know will lead us to more participation and to exceed the figure of 177 literary texts in the different genres that were received virtual by 2020.
The literary works that have been given and will soon be for sale at the Casa del Escursor Panamanian are: "Mestizaje, mujeres y miebes" by Danae Brugiati (essay category), "Landscape ClanDestination" by Arturo Wong Sagel (tale category), "Camila" by Edduin González (poetry Section), "I get tired of being a man" by Jhavier Romero Hernández (theater category) and "Chronicles of the Solar" by Pedro Crenes Castro (novel category).
"We are currently undergoing extremely interesting works, worthy of being read with the greatest of our entists. Congratulations to all the winners of the Ricardo Miró 2019 and, above all, thank you for sharing these stories that readers will enjoy greatly," Daniel Dominguez stated about these new five titles that make up the huge family of Panamanian letters.
