Reforms Panama Festival in Salsa in virtual format

Panama, 25 November 2020 - The best Panamanian orchestras can be enjoyed by salsa lovers at the second version of the "Panama in Salsa Festival" organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and that will come to Panamanian households from November 26 to 29.

The viewers from 8: 00 p.m. through the MiCultura and SERTV digital platforms dance at the rhythm of orchestras "Chamakos Son," "Society Anonymous," as well as singers of this genre as Víctor Jaramillo, Rey and Oscar Cruz among others.

In this second version of "Panama in Salsa," a well-known group of Panamanian artists will pay tribute to the composer Pedro Azael, who passed away on August 21 and who was the author of issues such as "My Freedom" that Frankie Ruiz popularized, and "Let me have a kiss that will last till Monday," by Salsa Kids.

The concerts that have been recorded from the Balboa and Amador Theater, with no public and performing all the security measures are scheduled as follows:

-Thursday 26 November, "Tribute to Pedro Azael," 8: 00 p.m.

-Friday, November 27, Chamakos Son Orchestra, 8: 00 p.m.

- Saturday, November 28, Orquesta Sociedad Anónima, 9: 00 p.m.

- Sunday November 29th, Víctor Jaramillo, 8: 00 p.m.

The first version of this festival was a success with about 30 salsa orchestras bringing hundreds of people to Santa Ana, Los Andes Mall and Playa Veracruz where they enjoyed good music and delicious cuisine completely free of charge, but this year because of COVID 19, we will get them to their homes to be enjoyed within their family bubble.

Since March, the Ministry of Culture has put in place a varied dynamic program that offers the public with content ranging from concerts, contiguous events, night of trovators, dance, theater, cinema and much more referred to as "MiCultura En Casa," with the aim of entertaining Panamanian families and offering them a pleasant moment during this time of pandemic, as well as an opportunity for national artists to show their talent.
