MiCultura Reopened Old Panama's Artesanal Center

Panama, November 17, 2020 -The Ministry of Culture, through its National Board of Crafts, announced that from Monday November 16th will be at the disposal of national and foreign visitors, the Old Panama Crafts Market offering best artisan products with compliance with all biosecurity measures, as required by our health authorities.

Jaime Luna, national master of crafts, stated that we will be monitoring the implementation of health standards with regard to cleanliness of local as well as the proper use of mascarillas, alcohol, an alcoholic gel and other products that help to protect us from covid-19 for our customers and our artisan have a secure and reliable environment.

"For our part we have already suitable the place with all necessary hygienic measures to receive visitors responsibly and we call them to support the talent of these creative hands that through their products reflect that national identity," said Luna.

The Old Panama Crafts Market will open its doors at 9: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, with 45 jobs that will offer them different folkloric crafts and of all the ethnicities created with love by Panamanian artisans who seek to preserve their culture through art.

The complex that was opened in 2011 was established to improve and facilitate the working conditions of the artisan and at the same time to generate a new tourist attractions for the visitors, thus complementing his visit to the Monumental Set of Old Panama.
