Government Expand MiCultura Artists at Casa 2.0
The National Government, through the Ministry of Culture, expressed its appreciation for the support of the Panamanian artists who have been contributing with their talent, all the programs and cultural activations that MiCultura develops at home with the Panama Solidarity Plan, in the fight against COVID19.
Carlos Aguilar, Minister of Culture, representing President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen and Vice-President José Gabriel Carrizo, met with ten-and-a-half singers and artists of different musical genres, to reiterate his gratitude for giving up his culture, traditions and roots through his intermittent and intermittent events at weekends that have had a positive impact on the population from the digital platforms, SERTV's support and a twench of radio stations with good music and an important legacy that benefits all Panamanians.
He also stated that the ratings have exceeded the 2 million online users that they enjoy every day of MiCultura at Home, enabling, according to data from the Central American Integration System (SICA), to have put Panama among the countries with the highest production of cultural contents in the region during the pandemic.
To bring home entertainment, fun and cultural expressions to all Panamanian people, the government launched from March last "MiCultura at Home" as an initiative that supports patio artists, valued and applauded by their noble work while offering their talent at these high challenges.
Cultural activity has been continuous and with our cultural and inter-institutional partners we have been trying to share with the public the contribution of artists, folchlorists and the Panamanian cultural sector, who have been united and have shown empathy while being a hit sector, because at this time we have been constantly leading to the comfort of all households.
Recently, the Minister, with his Regional Director of Los Santos, Nicanor Castillo, Karen Peralta, National Director of Folklore, María Luisa Lindo, Director of Legal Counsel and Rainer Tuñón, Director of Communication, met with the artists of the Panamanian vernacular trova.
