MiCultura celebrates week of the book with children's party of Panamanian tales and legends.

Panama, September 21 2020 -A number of stories and legends will be told by children and boys from the Children's and Young Oral Circle and Héctor Collado at the "Intercultural Festivals and Legends of Panama" that will be held virtual from September 22 to September 29, about the week of the book, through social networks of the Ministry of Culture.

The children of this collective will tell stories from the collection of "They say so" and "Thus told me," that they are beautiful legends and tales of our native peoples Kuna, Ngäbe, Wounaan, Afro-Antillanes and national folklore literature.

For Carlos Fong, a cultural promoter of the Cultural Rights Office at the Ministry of Culture, this activity is undertaken with a view to promoting reading and interculturalism by reviving legends and myths of our native peoples and a number of traditional tales from our children's oral narrative.

The "Intercultural Fest of Tales and Legends of Panama" is organized by the Ministry of Culture, through the Children and Youth Circle of Oral Narration "Héctor Collado" and the Fundación Biblioteca Nacional Ernesto J. Castillero R.
