MiCultura invites to Animate

Panama, 14 July 2020.The Ministry of Culture, with the Office of the First Lady of the Republic, invite boys and girls to participate in an interactive week called "Animate: Art in Culture and Fun," where they can share virtual moments of joy and good fun with the Pepina Show, Counting Stories, Ballet Workshop, Drawing and Painting Workshop and Non-so Round Circle from July 13 to 17, 2020.

Zuleyka Barrios, Director of Human Resources at MiCultura, states that this week it's for the children of the house and it's intended for children aged 3 to 14, for which there will be activities that can be appreciated from the Youtube Canal of the Cultural Ministry from 10 a.m..

"At this stage, quarantine turns out to be a challenge once we have our children at home. Year after year, children are looking forward with great illusion to the celebration of the Day of the child with the popular fair that as usual takes place at Omar Park.

That year, for reasons of Covid-19, we cannot enjoy activities at the site and so we have moved to social networks all the activities and experiences designed for them, "Barrios explained.

Activities schedule:

• Animarte began on Monday, July 13th at 10- 11 a.m., with Count Stories by Prof. Luz María Frías (Direction of Historical Heritage), for children 3 to 10 years old entering the digital platform, to teach reflection that through word, voice and gestures we will transmit positive knowledge and messages focused on values.

• Tuesday, July 14, 10-11 a.m., Ballet Workshop by Prof. Dayana Hernandez (New Generation Movement), children will be given 3 to 10 years old basic Ballet steps and routines to wear comfortable clothing.

• Wednesday, July 15, 10-11 a.m., Drawing and Painting Workshop by Prof. Noemi of Dandrade will have for children 3 to 8 years old, simple drawing and painting classes, considering an academic, practical and cultural content, will require sheets or drawing notebooks with an 8 1 / 2x 14 "size, B or 2B pencil, color pencils, rule, Toallite draft and apron paper.

• Wednesday, July 15, 2-3 p.m., Drawing and Painting Workshop by Prof. Benito Santana, will teach children 9-14 years old to develop the creative process as an elemental point by developing a plastic work, here you will need a drawing notebook Cova (about 14 X 17 "size) B or 2B pencil, Tempera or acrylic, soft brush, rule, draft, toggle or towel paper, water pack, apron.

It should be noted that both teachers work at the School of Plastic Arts at the Ministry of Culture.

• Thursday 16 July, 1-2 p.m., Circulo no so round directed by Professor Carlos Fong, Cultural Rights and Citizenship and will teach children 9 to 10 years old and adolescents how important they are to read in an amicable manner and how to create the habit of reading in the participants.

• Friday July 17th at 10-11 a.m., Virtual Pepina Show by Lcda. Damis Vásquez (National Direction of The Arts). He will promote his best best with his songs and his challenges to children from 3 to 14 years old.
