Crafts record sales more than 150 thousand balboas by artisan masks Covid-19

Panama, June 8, 2020. Sales for more than 150 thousand dollars have been registered with the artisan and artisan of the country since last April after starting with the mascarilla production project cover mouths with protection specifications Covid-19, supported by the health authorities.

The Ministry of Culture, a government entity that initiated the project with more than a thousand and more than 200 artisans from the country, reported that to date about 45 thousand mascarillas have been built and have been sold to customers through the catalogue of mascarillas that have been prepared with the support of the Authority of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (AMSMEs) and by the initiatives undertaken at the two virtual fairs that have been developed from the site of the institution and most recently with the support of the National Beer, that have recently acquired about 10 mascarillas to offer them to customers, co-distributors and vendors of the company for its production.

The Ministry of Culture is cooperating with the Panamanian artisan and artisan groups in the production and care of the "cover-up" masks with covid-19 protection with native and neatly Panamanian designs, following the specifications of the Ministry of Health for the care of people using them.

In this regard, the National Director of Handicrafts of MiCultura, Jaime Luna, stated that Panamanian artisan and artisan are currently cooperating with an organized and enthusiastic way to increase the production of masks with first-line filters and materials, following the health authorities.
