5,000 artists get Vale Digital from Plan Panama Solidario

Panama, June 2, 2020.-Some 5,000 artists, folchlorists, artisan and cultural entrepreneurs registered with the Super Ya register of the Ministry of Culture are receiving the digital voucher through their cendula.
The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, put forward his announcement as part of his Government's support for the situation throughout the country.
The art and culture professionals registered at the ministry are included at this stage of the Panama Solidarity Plan to receive the Digital Vale, through digital transfers of 80 pits that will be effective with the personal identity card that will function as a debit card.
The Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, explained that this management of the Panama Solidarity Plan will expedite the processes for the benefit of citizens registered with Cultural and Creative Industries and give more transparency to the provision of support to Panamanian people affected by the COVID19 pandemic.
"These transfers to Panamanian artists amount to about 400,000 pits that have been paid out by the good government from date onwards, now at a second payment from the Digital Valor," the Minister emphasized.

The delivery of the Digital Vale, which provides continuity to the delivery of food and bonus bags, will help Panamanian people to meet basic food, medicine and cleaning and disinfecting needs.
To credit the Digital Valor, the personal identity card bar code will be used using a central system designed for this purpose.
