MiCultura conduct disinfection and fumigation at its office

Panama, May 29, 2020. The Ministry of Culture conduct the phase of nebulization and subsequent fumigation of the headquarters at Casco Antiguo of Panama City as part of the profound clearance protocol of the institution, in compliance with the biosecurity regulations necessary to protect officials and visiting public under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, who leads the team of directors and personnel of human resources, general services and maintenance in these tasks, explained that "following health standards, the entity prepares to continue with its work in the new normality, facilitating an environment with the best possible health conditions and complying with the letter with all the necessary requirements to care and continue to promote culture in our country."

"The ministry has been unable to close its doors and we have been unable to stop ourselves. With the forms of telework and face-to-face with its protocols of health, safety and distance, we continue to work and to strengthen these measures of protection we have been developing a very detailed process of cleaning up areas, without stopping our daily activities, despite the pandemic situation we face," remarked Aguilar Navarro.

For his part, Zuleyka Barrios, Director of Human Resources at the Ministry, explained that after concluding with the sanitation in the central building, that was to wash up the work areas of the personnel as well as common areas, we proceeded to the phase of disinfection and nebulization to end with the fumigation of the spaces where daily jobs are performed.

In these profound cleaning processes, they are using high-spectrum odour disinfectors and neutralizators that are used to cleanup clinics, food processing plants, restaurants, hotels, clinics, schools and security institutions, and have been tested to remove pathogenic bacteria and viruses within 10 minutes.

Other protective measures to be put into place at the ministry include monitoring the temperature of personnel and visitors as well as distance between jobs, using mascarilla cover mouths and using soap, gel and alcohol in each area.
