MiCultura invites children to participate in the virtual contest "Art at Home"

Panama, 12 May 2020. The Ministry of Culture invites children from 6 to 12 years old to participate in the First Online Children's Competition "Art at Home" organized by Space Panama and ArckaLab.

The online contest includes three techniques: painting / collage, crafts with recycled material and creative writing.

Stakeholders should first follow and give "I like" to the publication of the contest at @ spapezanama _ agent's and @ arckalab's accounts, and then complete the registration tab, at the link https: / / forms.gle / ecChMZnGUkp2ymTe9 with his parents' permission.

The registration date will be 24 May and will be from 25 May to 14 June 2020.

It's important to send and document the whole creation process with a minimum of three images and a maximum of five from the start of its creation to its end, with the materials to be used in the project to be shown. They can also do so with a video of up to one minute that will show all the development of their work.

It was reported that primary educators, graphic artists and psychologists will be part of the qualifying board, who will select three works for each category by age (6-8, 9-12) and skills, according to the above mentioned artistic techniques.

Description of the techniques and categories:

• Painting / Collage: "My Favorite place in Panama" is the theme to be inspired for the conduct of the artistic work. Any material and expression of it can be used from white sheets to fabric, black pencil, colors, watercolors, paints or anything they wish to create.
• Manualities / recycling: The artist has the power to use all the recycled materials they have at his place.
• Creative writing participants will be able to propose any form of writing they wish from a poetry, a letter, or simply a text where they express what they feel or wish and wish to share with the public, the work should be original and creative, that they transmit a message and that they use appropriate language.

It can be performed manually, or computer and cannot be more extensive with a sheet with both sides.

All jobs shall have a title, a description, an aim of what they wished to reflect or express, the dimensions, materials used and the signature of the complainant.

Drawing and painting workshops, recycling and creativity, lectowriting, painting kits, brushes, drawing pencils, to conduct crafts, literary works and books, are part of the three awards that winners will get. A digital certificate will be awarded to all participants.
