MiCultura At Home recognizes 50 years of Osvaldo Ayala's successful artistic career

Panama, March 23, 2020. At the height of his 50-year artistic life, "El Scorpion de Parilla," Osvaldo Ayala, received an recognition of his musical career from the Ministry of Culture of Panama, during his broadcast of "MiCultura at Casa," a project where Panamanian artists have come together to conduct concerts and artistic projections every night for the public who remains at home.
Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro expressed his recognition of this great Panamanian for his outstanding contribution to typical popular Panamanian music in 50 years of rhythmic and revolutionary music style innovation that, both inside and outside the country, has been a true cultural ambassador to the world and an example to be followed among best accordionists and music leaders throughout the continent.
Since last Friday, March 20, the Ministry of Culture has been presenting # MiCulturaenCasa, an artistic program that will be broadcast on digital platforms under the form of "streaming" on the social networks of Youtube and Facebook of the ministry and broadcast by open television thanks to SERTV, the National Assembly channel, with the accompaniment of national radio and chrysol FM.
Artists of the size of Luis Lugo, Monalisa and Rodrigo, Winnie Ssitón, La Tribu Performance, Jenny and Kiara and José Álvarez Torres participate in MiCultura's concerts at home from the National Theater at events following the protocols of the Ministry of Health.
Minister Aguilar Navarro stated that these cultural activities are undertaken to give an accompaniment to good governance's actions with a view to providing cultural expressions, following health standards, for the enjoyment of the citizens who stay at their homes.
Aguilar Navarro reiterated President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen's call to stay calm, to avoid alarming and to follow the protocol of the health authorities with respect to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"That's the time for all Panamanian people to be united to face this pandemic, as our president puts it in his messages," said the Cultural Titular.
