MyCultura joins the Miviot to inspect Caserones of the Old Casco of Colón

Panama 21 February 2020. The Ministry of Culture accompanied the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Management (MIVIOT) with an inspection to observe the state of degradation of some properties at Casco Antiguo in Colón town.
He responded to the MiCultura's historic heritage team to participate in meetings and tours in the province and to give continuity to President Laurentine Cortizo Cohen's good governance Roadmap for the transformation of the city.
During his interinstitutional tour, his historic Wilcox House was visited at Calle 9 and Avenida Central and Melendez, and today his project was put up and beamed. Also, his team moved to Calle 12 and 13 Melendez, where we have been found to have been damaged by four buildings known as four Powers: Portobelo, Donoso, Chagres and Santa Isabel.
A meeting with the regional office of the Miviot was held during the work day, with the Director of Engineering and Architecture, Veronica Ríos, the Director of Historical Heritage, Katti OSorio and the architects Itzela Quiros and Roberto Saavedra and architect Joel Coras, the President's project coordinator at Colón and President's advisor Ali Waked.
