Minister of Culture Inaugures First Ibero-American Forum on Audiovisual Creations

Panama, November 29, 2022.-The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué participated in the opening of the 18th Ibero-American Forum on Audiovisual Creations, held with face and face to face and face in Panama and bringing together professionals from Ibero-American collective management societies with a view to interviewing current issues related to the audiovisual industry.
The day to be held up to 1 December is organized by the Association of Audiovisual Interpreting Rights of Panama and Latin Artis, bringing together first-level lawyers, contributing to copyright issues with the experience of writers, actors and audiovisual artists.
The regent of Panamanian culture welcomed and recognized the work of the Association for Audiovisual Interpreting Rights of Panama (ASDAP) for his contribution to the community of artists with the ratification of the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Interpretations and Executions, the first international instrument to recognize and protect the intellectual property rights of actors.
He also mentioned "that Panama has an Copyright Act that is among the most modern of the region, a normative support that will allow them to crystallize their just and noble aspirations to live from their art."
