Culture, Heritage and Solidarity Reunited at the Festivals Around the World

Panama September 21, 2026. The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) accompanied the official launch of the Festivals Around the World 2026, an initiative of the Social Assistance Caravan of Diplomatologists and Panamanians that commemorates its 65 years of social work and that this year will bring together representatives from more than 40 countries.

The meeting, to be held next October 18 at the Megapolis Convention Center, will offer the public a multicultural experience through gastronomy, music, folklore, art and traditions from different nations.

As part of this collaboration, an agreement was signed between the Social Assistance Caravan of Diplomatologists and Panamanians and the El Caño Foundation with the Minister of Culture as an honor witness to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of the Panamanian cultural heritage.

One of the main attractions of this edition will be the exhibition "The Last Flying of the Chaman," an initiative of the Foundation El Caño and MiCultura, that will have more than 55 archaeological pieces free of charge from the Archaeological Site El Caño, at Coclé.

Dr. Julia Mayo, director of the El Caño Foundation, emphasized that this exhibition "allows us to discover, through this exceptional grave, a fragment of our history".

From MiCultura we highlighted the value of this initiative as a space that links international cultural interchange with Panama's history and heritage, as well as supporting actions that generate benefits for communities.

The funds raised during the Around the World Festivals will be dedicated to social projects, including the prevention of cancer at Colón, sampling at Veraguas and the creation of a Cultural Center at San Miguelito.

The activity will have the participation of embassies, diplomatic missions and foreign communities living in Panama, at a celebration that brings cultures together while contributing to the social challenges of the country.
