Ministry of Culture offers literary and educational diversity at the fair of the book 2022

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) will conduct a series of activities with different audiences from 17 to 21 August, including puppet play, reading with a Braille system, talking with national authors and human libraries, while Saturday will be the production of the best book of the Luis Renteria contest, "A Red at the Rommel."

At the MiCultura's stand, at morning hours, "The Book Is The Best" will be presented as a play with magical characters such as La Tinaja, La Cutarra, El Violín and El diablico Sutio, creating a choir with the public to motivate children and parents to love the book and to read.

Also, at MiCultura's pavilion, 70 Panamanian authors and national contest winners will be in two shifts throughout the afternoon offering and signing their books to attendees.

Those authors will be winners of contest sponsored by the Ministry of Culture as Ricardo Miró, Gustavo Btista and Carlos Francisco Changmarín.

The MiCultura stand will also give 10 people with visual disabilities an opportunity to read for a conventional public the works "The dance of our neighbours, the Solar system" and "The Mound of Teeth" prepared in Braille writing.

The methodology is to achieve an interplay between the public and people who are reading Braille writing to give more vividity to the stories that are told.

The "Biblioteca Viva" modality will also be represented at the stand of MiCultura with the participation of personalities as the Minister of Culture, Giselle González, the artist Emilio Regueira, the writer picky Zubieta, the film and documentary producer José Luis Rodriguez, the Folklorist Karen Peralta, the founder of the Book Fair, Priscilla Delgado, the artist Electra Castillo and the influence for inclusion, Anita Correa, among others.

The dynamic of this program will be that the public will be able to ask these personalities about all that concerns each of the specialities they have developed in their professional life.

Also, during the development of FIL Panama, the attendees will have an opportunity to wear a portrait prepared by Panamanian cartoonist Marta Ramos, who has extensive experience with this genre of art.

On Saturday, August 20, at an hour of the afternoon, Minister Giselle González Villarrué will officially be presenting the book "A Red at the Rommel" by lawyer Ramiro Ochoa's office who was the winner at the contest in honor of his late football player Luis "Matagatos" Rentería.

The presentation of the book will include the president of the Association of Panama's Futocologists, Juan Ramón Solís and the ex-select Blas Pérez, Armando Cooper and Valentin Pimentel, as well as the former ones, Barelis De Mera and Sumara Samuel.

The Ministry of Culture invites the public at large to enjoy the Book Fair and especially the literary, educational and entertainment offers that will be offered at the institution's stand that will have a very varied agenda.
