The province of Colón regained one of its main historic symbols with the re-installation of the monument to the Libertador Simón Bolívar, located at the entrance of the town, at an event that coincided with the anniversary of the bicentennial of the signing of the Treaty of Union, League and Perpetual Confederation of the Amptionic Congress of Panama of 1826.

وقد بدأ الاحتفال بإنشاء معرض للزهور يجمع بين السلطات الوطنية وممثلي المنظمات المدنية وأعضاء المجتمع المحلي، الذين شددوا على القيمة التاريخية والثقافية للمصباح بوصفه رمزا للتكامل الأمريكي اللاتيني وتركة المحرر.

وقام مكتب المركز التاريخي في كولون بتنسيق أعمال نقل وتفاعل القطعة النحتية، فضلا عن اختيار المكان الجديد وبناء قاعدة رخامية وفاتنة لإعادة تركيبها.

The project was developed by means of a joint work by the National Director of Museums, the National Director of Cultural Heritage, the Office of the Historical Center of the City of Colón, the private company, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bolivarian Society of Panama and other allied institutions that united efforts to make it possible to rescue this important monument.
