The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué in response to an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce of the town of Colón, that Michael Chen presides, participated in an extensive tour with national and international tourists about different tourist and cultural attractions and that had as his point of call his visit to the convoy San Lorenzo.

The Titular of MiCultura explained the province of Colón has many attractions that deserve to be known and referred to the example of the Cass San Lorenzo, a fortification of the Spanish colonial age at the mouth of the Chagres River and that is under a restoration process that has an advance of more than 85% of physical advancement.

He noted that maybe this work will be inaugurated in the next summer with the goal, not only to attract more tourists to these historic sites but also to have St. Lawrence's Cass part of the Transitory colonial Route that includes Old Town, Old Panama, Portobelo, St. Lawrence and the tracks of the Cross Way.
